New Pools
Custom New Pools for Oklahoma Backyards
Gunite is concrete sprayed under pressure over a steel reinforcing cage. The shell can follow a rectangle, a freeform curve or another shape, with varied depths, ledges and benches formed into the structure.
This page is for a backyard starting without a pool. If you already have a shell, compare Pool Remodels or focused Retiling and Replastering , or return to all Pool Services .

Build the pool around the way you want to use it
The shell starts the design, but the choices that make pool days fun are the shape, depth, water color, surrounding surfaces and controls you will use after the build.
-
Choose a shape for swimming, games or a natural fit
Rectangular pools work well for games, swimming laps and automatic pool covers. Freeform kidney-shaped pools create a more natural look and can fit irregularly shaped backyards.
You decide: Rectangle for laps, games and a tidy automatic cover, or freeform curves that slip around the yard like they were always there. Geometry has never been this splashy.
-
Match the depth to the way everyone swims
An all-shallow pool keeps people standing and moving together. A sport profile is shallow at both ends and deeper in the middle. A diving pool needs a deeper engineered profile and enough length for that use.
You decide: Choose the depth personality. Volleyball headquarters, an easygoing social pool, or a deep end built for cannonballs with ambition.
-
Set the water color with the interior finish
The interior finish changes the color and character of the water. Use the studio to compare bright, pale and deeper tones against the tile, coping and lighting around them.
You decide: Dress the water for the occasion. Bright postcard blue, a pale Caribbean shimmer, or a deep dramatic tone that looks ready for its own movie poster.
-
Build the barefoot zone around the shell
Coping caps the pool edge, waterline tile creates the band at the water surface, and the deck shapes the space for walking, seating and time beside the pool.
You decide: Let bare feet cast the deciding vote. Tile, coping and deck should look sharp without making the walk to a cannonball feel like a balance challenge.
-
Choose the comforts you want to control
Pool equipment supports circulation, sanitation, heating, lighting and water features. Automation can put the controls you use most on your phone.
You decide: Decide how much the pool should do on command. Warm itself, make its own chlorine, glow after dark, or obey your phone like a very large blue robot.
One complete layout
Plan the spa, ledge and active water together
A new pool is the opportunity to compose every feature at once. This project image keeps a raised spa, broad tanning ledge and diving board in the same view, showing how places to relax and places to move can belong to one geometric pool.

New pool questions
What makes a gunite pool custom?
Gunite is sprayed over a reinforced steel cage, so the shell can be shaped at varied depths with structural ledges and benches rather than being limited to a preformed unit.
Should I choose a rectangle or a freeform pool?
Choose around use and yard shape. Rectangles support laps, games and automatic covers. Freeform shapes create a more natural outline and can work around irregular spaces.
Can the design include a spa or tanning ledge?
Yes. Add the spa, tanning ledge, seating, lighting and water features to the same 3D layout so you can see how they work together before the site visit.
When do I receive a price?
Pricing comes as a written estimate after the free site visit confirms access, grade, utilities, setbacks and the layout that fits the property.
